Ceremonial Cacao 200g
Ceremonial Cacao 200g from Wild Craft Tasmania.
Wild Craft, have prioritised to create a truly delicious, ethical & pure Ceremonial grade Cacao, while preserving the abundant health benefits of this wonderful, heart-opening plant.
Every block of Ceremonial Cacao has been stone ground in small batches by us, in Tasmania, Australia. Handcrafted with intention and care, from 100% heirloom, organic & ethically sourced Peruvian Cacao beans.
Here is a super simple yet beautiful Ceremonial Cacao recipe ~ I like to make my Cacao like this most mornings.
- 2 tbsp chopped Ceremonial Cacao
- a cup full of your favourite plant-based milk (I love Pureharvest Almond & Coconut milk - it has no additives and is delicious)
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
Heat your milk on the stovetop, until it comes to a light simmer. Add your cacao and sweetener if desired (coconut sugar is a beautiful addition), turn off the heat, and whisk to combine.
I like to make my cacao this way ~ its easy, and 'slower' than the blending method. While chopping, heating and whisking, I like to take a moment to slow down, set intentions and enjoy making something beautiful & nourishing for myself. I hope you can too!

The term 'Ceremonial Cacao' is the name given to define this unique product, made from the ground beans of the Theobroma Cacao tree. It is inspired by an ancient medicine, one that has been used traditionally by indigenous Mayan & Aztec cultures for centuries. There are several important factors that make Cacao of "ceremonial grade":
- it is important the the Cacao is grown within it's native environment, using natural & organic farming techniques.
- the beans must be ethically sourced & fairly traded.
- the cacao is of a heirloom &/or natural variety (no GMO/hybrid variants.)
- the cacao must be minimally processed (no cacao butter removed, as it is with cacao powder and many 'cacao pastes' on the market today)
- the cacao is not over-roasted (as it is with 'cocoa')
- the cacao must be made with intention and respect for this plant medicine.
- the cacao is processed in small batches, using quality equipment.
